The Smartest Way to take a temperature!

I was so excited to try this new Kinsa Digital Smart thermometer!  This is such an awesome product and with a new baby coming soon I knew it was something that we were going to be using a lot!

Recently Destini was very sick and had a high temperature over the course of about 3-4 days, she actually ended up at the children’s hospital here because of it.  During this time I can really take advantage of all the features the Kinsa Digital Smarthas to offer.

You simple download an app, then you plug the thermometer into the headphone jack and take the temp with it.  While the thermometer is working there are little bubbles on it and kids can pop the bubble while they are waiting for the reading to come up.  This time is never long enough for Destini as it only takes about 10 seconds to get a reading and she wants to keep popping.

We were able to use the thermometer both under the arm and orally, it is also able to be used rectally for infants.  You can simple clean the probe with soap and water or alcohol and standard disposable probe covers fit on it perfectly which is my preferred methods.

The Kinsa App is compatible with any iPhone after 4S and most Androids.  I really love that I can have it on my phone and put it on my husbands phone so we can keep using the thermometer no matter who the kids are with.  You can download the app HERE for Google and HERE For IOS 

Once the temperature is taken it gives you an option to save the reading and when you do it allows you to pick a profile, so that means I could put all Destini’s readings in one place and all of Davids readings in another.  When we went to the doctor with her, I was able to simply bring up her profile and show exactly what her readings were over the course of the illness.

During this virus she has, we went to her regular pediatrician, to an Urgent Care Center and the children’s hospital, with all of those I was able to still have the information I needed without searching around for it.
